QLD: Former Gold Coast mayor wins Lib preselection for Robina
Former Gold Coast mayor RAY STEVENS has beaten off his rivals to win Liberal Party
pre-selection for the state seat of Robina.
The safe Gold Coast seat was vacated by former Queensland Liberal leader BOB QUINN
after BRUCE FLEGG won the leadership less than two weeks ago.
Mr Stevens defeated five other nominees .. including chairman of the Robina branch AARON
DEBATTISA and federal Young Liberal president MARK POWELL.
