NSW: Teenager charged with stabbing murder, granted bail
SYDNEY, Dec 10 AAP - A teenager charged with the stabbing murder of a Sydney man has
been granted bail.
The youth is the fifth young person charged after a 23-year-old man was fatally stabbed
during a brawl between two groups of men outside a house in Trevanna Street at Busby,
in Sydney's southwest, about 3am on April 25.
The offenders fled the scene and the man was taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he later died.
Later that day, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with affray and malicious
damage and appeared in Parramatta Children's Court.
Now aged 17, he re-appeared at Campbelltown Children's Court on Thursday and was charged
with murder.
The youth was granted conditional bail and ordered to re-appear in the same court on February 15.
He is the fifth person arrested by Strike Force Harney detectives investigating the
stabbing death.
An 18-year-old man is already before the courts on murder and affray charges.
A 20-year-old man was charged with being an accessary after the fact to murder, affray,
concealing a serious indictable offence and making a false statement.
A 17-year-old male was charged with being an accessary after the fact to murder and
concealing a serious indictable.
And an 18-year-old woman is facing charges of perverting the course of justice and
concealing an indictable offence.
